Wine Cellar Furniture for Residential Wine Rooms Newport Coast Beach California

Contents

Most modern homes now feature custom residential wine rooms, which allow collectors to display their liquid assets in a chic way.   A private wine cellar not only increases the curb appeal of a home, but also adds aesthetic value to its living space.  Residential wine rooms Newport Coast Beach California are carefully designed and constructed, in order to create an environment conducive to aging wines and entertaining friends.

A recently completed project in Newport Coast Beach, California, is a perfect example of a custom wine room that combines functionality and elegance.  This climate controlled wine cellar has a total storage capacity of 1692 wine bottles, and features Mahogany wine storage racks and reclaimed wine barrel flooring.  The brick veneer walls and ceiling serve as the room’s main attraction, and are visible through the seamless glass walls and entryway.

Most custom residential wine rooms are actively cooled, which means they require refrigeration systems to help maintain the ideal storage environment for storing and aging wines.  For this particular residential wine rooms Newport Coast Beach California project, an Arctic Aire Split System was supplied and installed by Arctic Metalworks.

Due to its ‘split’ feature, a split system offers various installation options that provide noiseless operation.  The evaporator unit is installed inside the wine room, while the condenser is placed in a remote location.  A purpose-built louvered grill cover fits over the front of the evaporator unit to conceal it from view.  The louvered panel cover is made in Mahogany wood to match the rest of wine cellar furniture.

Residential wine rooms are not complete without custom wine storage racks.  Racking systems are available in different styles and capacities that can accommodate the storage and display needs of the client.  All storage systems for this residential wine room are constructed from Mahogany wood with a rustic stain and lacquer finish.

A fair amount of single bottle wine racking occupies the wine cellar.  Each bottle opening for this racking system measures 3 ¾ inch x 3 ¾ inch, which can fit most standard sized wine bottles.  A high reveal display row with LED-based lighting allows the client to showcase his favorite wine labels.  To heighten the visual appeal of the storage space, label forward racks were located near the glass walls.  Label forward wine storage racks facilitate the horizontal placement of the bottles with their labels in full view.

Herringbone masonry design serves as a beautiful backdrop for the tabletop counter, which is situated directly from across the entrance.  The walls and entryway are made from Herculite glass, which provides a clear and unobstructed view into the wine cellar.

To allow for the optimal visibility of the stunning brick veneer wall surface, half-diamond bins were installed above and below the tabletop area.  These diamond bin components have large openings that face the back, brick veneer lined wall.  Racks with rectangular openings are also provided for magnums.

To complement the natural beauty of the Mahogany-made wine cellar furniture, reclaimed oak barrel staves from Napa Valley were used as the floor covering.  Staves are the side part of the wine barrel, and feature distinct markings from metal hoop rings, now removed, that once kept the narrow strips of wood intact.
